Clinical Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n

The patient presented with a compromised maxillary central incisor in the esthetic zone associated with significant facial bone loss evident radiographically. Following extraction, a pronounced three-dimensional ridge defect was confirmed. The available bone volume was insufficient for implant placement, making ridge reconstruction necessary.<\/p>\n

Regenerative Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following flap elevation and preparation of the recipient site, the ridge was augmented with cerabone\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong><\/a>. A NOVAMag\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> membrane<\/a> was individually shaped to the defect and securely fixed, providing structural support.<\/p>\n

The augmented area was additionally covered with a collprotect membrane and tension-free primary closure was achieved. The use of the resorbable magnesium membrane provided mechanical stability during the regenerative phase without requiring a later procedure for membrane removal as it is completely resorbable.<\/p>\n

Re-entry and Implant Site Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

After four months of healing, CBCT imaging demonstrated a marked increase in ridge volume. Surgical re-entry confirmed substantial hard-tissue formation and sufficient ridge dimensions for implant placement.<\/p>\n

The implant was placed within the reconstructed ridge. To optimize the facial soft-tissue contour in the esthetic zone, mucoderm\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong><\/a> was additionally placed for soft-tissue augmentation before wound closure.<\/p>\n<\/div>
