In group 1 socket preservation was performed, i.e. the extraction sites were grafted with cerabone\u00ae and covered with permamem\u00ae. In group 2, implants were placed in the alveoli and the periimplant gaps were grafted with cerabone\u00ae, which again was covered by permamem\u00ae. In both groups the membrane was partially left exposed to the oral cavity.
