Xenogeneic and allogenic bone grafting materials have proven to be valid alternatives for many indications in regenerative dentistry. While allografts are considered the second-best option after the patient’s own bone from a biological point of view, the volume stability of xenografts, especially of processed bovine bone, is appreciated.
This webinar will discuss the benefits and limits of both types of bone substitutes with respect to the clinical indications and treatment approaches. The speaker will also showcase treatment methods for various clinical situations and will present the recent scientific evidence on the topic including new biomaterial developments.
Learning objectives
- Comprehend the biological properties of xenogeneic and allogenic bone substitute materials.
- Decision making for bone grafting materials based on scientific proof and biological principles.
- How to benefit from recent biomaterial developments such as cerabone® plus.
