Dr. Tomislav Krhen graduated in 2010 on University of Zagreb, School of Dental Medicine in Zagreb, Croatia. After graduation, he was enrolled in Specialist postgraduate 2-year program which he successfully finished in 2015 on the topic: Indications and techniques for bone augmentation procedures in the aesthetic zone. During his surgical residency, he was awarded an ITI Scholarship (International Team for Implantology), 1-year postgraduate curriculum for further improvement in oral surgery and implantology. From 2014-2015 he worked at the surgical department of Universitätsklinikum Bonn on Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn, Germany under mentorship of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wahl and his team. After returning back to Croatia, he resumed and finished his surgical residency in Zagreb. During the ITI scholarship in Bonn, he intensively dedicated his time for professional development and training in other various courses throughout Germany. Areas of interest included bone augmentation, soft tissue surgery of peri-implant tissues, and treatment of peri-implantitis. Most of his surgical experience also comes from working with his father, who is also an oral surgeon and was an ITI Fellow until 2020. From 2018 he worked at Dental Polyclinic Zagreb in the Department of Oral Surgery. He is a member of International Team for Implantology (ITI), Straumann Young Professional Program (Straumann YPP), Croatian Society for Oral Surgery (HDOK) and Croatian Society of Dental Implantology (HDDI).
