Dr. Stavros Pelekanos performs buccal bone augmentation following implant placement in the aesthetic zone. Initially, an extraction site was sealed with a soft tissue punch and allowed to heal for two months. The site was reentered then and following implantation, Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) was performed with cerabone® and Jason® membrane to augment the buccal aspect of the socket. At the same time the abutment was connected and the site was completely covered by the flap.
Dr. Pelekanos holds a doctoral degree in Prosthodontics and was appointed full-time lecturer at the Department of Prosthodontics, Dental School at University of Athens, Greece. He has established a private practice in Athens, oriented towards prosthodontics, implantology and esthetic dentistry.
