Dr. Giorgio Tabanella demonstrates the magnesium membrane shield technique that was recently published by Elad et al., to treat a compromised socket that has a massive buccal wall defect in the aesthetic zone. Due to the technical simplicity of this technique benefitting from the mechanical stability of the NOVAMag® membrane, the membrane was easily pushed into position without opening up a flap. The socket space was then filled with cerabone® +HyA and the gingiva sutured together for primary wound healing.
6 months CBCT shows integration of cerabone® +HyA.
