Dr. Marija Čandrlić is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia. Her research focuses on regenerative biomaterials for hard and soft tissue regeneration in oral surgery and implant dentistry.
She obtained her PhD in biomedical sciences (cytology, histology and embryology) in 2023. Her work primarily investigates guided bone regeneration, alveolar ridge preservation, and sinus augmentation using advanced biomaterials, including xenografts, synthetic bone substitutes, collagen matrices, and biodegradable magnesium membranes.
Dr. Čandrlić is involved in several clinical and translational research projects evaluating the biological performance of regenerative biomaterials through histological, histomorphometric, and immunohistochemical analyses. She has authored peer-reviewed publications in international journals and actively contributes to the development and clinical translation of novel biomaterials in regenerative dentistry.
