RELIABLE AND SAFE ALTERNATIVES

Although, the patient‘s own bone is considered the „gold standard“, due to its biological activity, the harvesting often requires a second surgical site and is associated with an additional bony defect and potential donor site morbidity. Today, bone grafting materials provide a reliable and safe alternative to autologous bone grafts in many indications, while offering unlimited availability. Each type of bone substitute exerts different features which can be used as an advantage to match the clinical situation, as well the requirements of both the clinician and the patient.
