A Matter Close to Our Hearts: Supporting Children with Cleft Lip and Palate

Some partnerships grow quietly and become deeply meaningful over time.
Our collaboration with Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe is one of them.

Initiated by Munich-based oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Dr. Oliver Blume, a heartfelt partnership was formed between Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe and botiss. Since 2014, our support has helped the Freiburg-based organization in its mission to help children born with cleft lip and palate.

Over the past decade, this support has given hundreds of children in Africa a new chance at health, confidence, and happiness. Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe currently supports children in 15 countries. Without access to proper medical treatment, children affected by cleft lip and palate often face lifelong physical and social challenges. Through surgical care, follow-up treatment, and local medical support, the organization helps change lives sustainably.

This year, we were once again able to support this important work with a donation. For us, this commitment is about more than giving, it’s about using medical innovation to make a real difference in children’s lives.

“Medical innovation also means taking responsibility beyond our own field. Supporting Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe has been close to our hearts for many years.”
