Histological and radiological evaluation of sintered and non-sintered deproteinized bovine bone substitute materials in sinus augmentation procedures.

A prospective, randomized-controlled, clinical multicenter study, analyzed the effect of cerabone®* in comparison to Bio-Oss in augmentation sites.

Conclusion:
No significant differences between the groups could be detected with regard to residual bone height, new bone formation and residual bone substitute. Therefore, both bone substitute materials allow predictable new bone formation in sinus augmentation procedures. >DETAILS.
