The focus of the presentation is to determine treatment processes in order to avoid dehiscence and associated failure rates.

Basically, two techniques are available for vertical and horizontal augmentation: ring technique and bonebuilder technique. Both procedures require high technical knowledge. The challenges of these techniques are their influence not primarily on the hard tissue but particularly on the soft tissue as well as the infection prophylaxis.

Therefore, the aim of this dental training is to determine the range of indications, the advantages and disadvantages of the mentioned methods and possible alternatives for single- and two-stage augmentation techniques in the dental daily routine
