Shaping the Future of Regenerative Dentistry:
Next-Generation Biomaterials for Hard and Soft Tissue Regeneration
Contemporary Concepts in Oral Tissue Regeneration:
Next-Generation Biomaterials from Bone Defect Reconstruction to Soft-Tissue Management
In contemporary dentistry, soft and hard tissue regeneration has been increasingly employed to achieve long-term functional, biological, and esthetic outcomes. Successful regenerative therapy requires a clear understanding of the biological principles of tissue healing, defect morphology, and the appropriate selection of biomaterials tailored to specific clinical indications.
Clinical indications for bone regeneration, such as ridge preservation, ridge augmentation, and defect reconstruction, will be discussed alongside soft tissue management approaches aimed at improving tissue stability, volume, and quality. The biological and clinical advantages of different graft materials and substitutes will be discussed, emphasizing their role in optimizing healing, improving aesthetic outcomes, and supporting long-term tissue stability.
This course provides an overview of current regenerative concepts in dentistry, focusing on the rationale for bone and soft tissue augmentation in daily clinical practice. The application of advanced biomaterials—such as hyaluronic acid–enhanced xenografts and magnesium membranes—will be presented as part of evidence-based strategies for hard and soft tissue regeneration. Clinicians will learn practical skills that can be used in general dentistry, periodontology, and oral surgery, supporting predictable and reproducible regenerative outcomes.
