Dr. Filippo Fontana demonstrates on-stage implant placement and Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) in the posterior mandible using a non-resorbable barrier membrane.

Dr. Fontana is oral and maxillofacial surgeon and maintains a private clinic in Milan, Italy. Currently he is visiting Professor at the Department of Health Science of the University of Milan, Italy.

Following the placement of two dental implants in the deficient site, bone augmentation is performed using autologous bone chips harvested from the retro-molar area. The augmented site was covered by permamem®, which was fixated by screws. Finally, the flap was sutured to achieve primary wound closure.
