Since many years the outcomes of various bone augmentation techniques for implant rehabilitations have been widely documented in literature. Some of the most important aspects of predictable bone regeneration are a tension-free wound closure as well as avoidance of wound healing disturbances and acute infections for a sufficient and sound hard tissue regeneration before implant insertion. Recent modifications of known surgical techniques and the introduction of innovative biomaterials have changed regenerative protocols.
In this presentation, surgical modifications and Mg-based innovations will be presented. Moreover, it will be discussed why these promising techniques and biomaterials can be helpful for reducing severe complications, and supporting wound healing and peri-implantitis management for a more predictable and successful outcome of regenerative procedures in your surgical practice followed by a Q&A session.
Learning objectives:
- Recent developments in hard tissue regeneration
- Innovative and promising biomaterials for Guided-Bone-Regeneration and other regenerative procedures
- Management of wound healing disturbances
