SURGERY
Prof. Windisch demonstrates vertical bone augmentation in the posterior mandible using testing screws. Prof. Windisch is Head and Chair of the Department of Periodontology of the Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. Since 2010, he is Chairman of the Hungarian Society of Periodontology.
After flap elevation, tenting screws with autologous blocks were placed and the site was grafted using cerabone® granules mixed with autologous bone chips. The augmented site was covered with permamem® according to the principles of Guided Bone Regeneration
(GBR) and the flap was sutured to achieve primary wound closure.
