Several bone augmentation techniqes have been described in the literature for the past decades. Starting from highly invasive procedures using solely autogenous bone, today we have far more opportunities with the use of evidence based biomaterials.

Patients demands are today for less number of surgical procedures, shorter overall healing time, and definitely less invasiveness! Can we achive that without compromising high predictability? When and how do state of the art biomaterials let us achieve these goals, and where might still be there limitations? How can we make a 2 stage bone augmentation procedure into 1 stage? When do we need autogenous bone, and when can we totally replace with biomaterials?

This lecture and hands-on course will cover some of the techniqes and materials for bone augmentation in minor to advanced horizontal and vertical bone resorption situatiuons and B13will provide answers on the questions above.
