LECTURE
Alternatives in bone regeneration: from biology to clinic
This training session explores the critical interplay between hard and soft tissue management in the aesthetic zone. Participants will examine how precise tissue manipulation not only improves long-term prognosis but also dictates restorative margins for stable, high-end aesthetic results. Moving into advanced surgical site development, the course will contrast various regenerative modalities for severe atrophy, including Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR), sinus floor elevation, and ridge expansion. Furthermore, we will analyze the clinical applications of allografts in complex horizontal and vertical augmentations, providing a comprehensive roadmap for treating the compromised ridge.
HANDS-ON
Alveolous socket type II: Ice cone tech vs Shield tech
Managing type 2 alveolar sockets requires a nuanced approach to guided bone regeneration. In this hands-on workshop, participants will master two distinct restorative workflows: the ICE cone technique utilizing a long-term resorbable collagen membrane and bovine bone mineral, and the shield technique featuring a bioresorbable magnesium membrane and bone graft material with added hyaluronic acid. Through direct clinical simulation, attendees will evaluate the handling characteristics, procedural advantages, and specific indications for each method, gaining the practical insights necessary to optimize outcomes in compromised extraction sites.
