SAFE APPROACHES TO
MANAGING COMPLICATIONS
IN STAGED BONE GRAFTING:
Optimising outcomes with
processed bone biomaterials.

Cases with atrophic ridges will need horizontal and or vertical bone augmentation to allow placement of standard dental implants in an optimal position and within the prosthetic envelope.
Cases with atrophic ridges will need horizontal and/or vertical bone augmentation to allow placement of standard dental implants in an optimal position and within the prosthetic envelope. While autogenous bone has been traditionally used for bone augmentation, there is good evidence suggesting that processed bone, such as the allograft, maxgraft or the xenograft, cerabone and cerabone plus, can be used in selected cases successfully but at a fraction of the time, trauma and risk to our patients.
Surgical complications have been reported in relatively high percentages of bone management operations as bone grafting is still considered a technique sensitive surgery. Therefore, clinicians have a duty towards their patients to minimise the risk and cause no harm. This webinar will present various bone and soft tissue complications attached to bone augmentation using processed bone and the speaker will present solutions based on sound biology understanding and evidence based data.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Presentation of surgical complications typically associated with bone augmentation procedures based on clinical cases
- Providing solutions for bone and soft tissue complications
- Providing indication-based recommendations for the use of various botiss biomaterials
- Q&A session to address your specific questions.
