OBJECTIVES
– Understand the biology and type of defect
– Understand the anatomy of the surgical area
– Understand the biology and use of biomaterials
– Learn the surgical principles of both horizontal and vertical bone augmentation
– Learn surgical principles of soft tissue reconstruction to increase keratinised tissue around implants and newly generated bone

| – Implant placement in the aesthetic zone – intact socket and socket defect |
| – Soft tissue handling, anterior aesthetic zone, horizontal augmentation cheese burger technique |
| – Hands-on: flap design, horizontal augmentation with bio-gide, CTG harvesting and suturing (classical graft), periosteo – elastic technique |

| – Applied anatomy anterior maxilla |
| – Sausage technique anterior maxilla |
| – Sausage technique posterior maxilla |
| – Soft tissue, suturing technique |

| – Hands-on: flap design, horizontal augmentation, periosteal suturing technique, CTG harvesting & suturing (Zucchelli Technique), plastic model training |

| – Vertical augmentation – anterior maxilla |
| – Consent and applied anatomy – mandible |
| – Vertical augmentation – posterior maxilla |
| – Soft tissue – part 2 |
| – Hands-on: flap design, vertical augmentation PTFE membrane, CTG harvesting and fixing, periosteo – elastic technique, perioplasty, orbicularis muscle extention and suturing |

| – Vertical augmentation – posterior mandible |
| – Sausage technique mandible |
| – Flap design in the maxilla and mandible with models |
