Dr. Lerner presents the relevance of acellular dermal matrices for different clinical situations in peri-implant surgery.

Dr. Lerner focuses in her work on Implantology, Periodontology and Esthetic Dentistry. She is an active member of the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO) and American Society of Aesthetics (ASA).

She shares her knowledge on soft tissue surgery with collagen matrices i.e. mucoderm®, which permits minimally invasive treatments with improved aesthetic results. These concepts may be supported with other modern technologies, such as the PRF-technique, aiming to further improve and accelerate hard and soft tissue regeneration. Furthermore, she presents implant tooth
procedures with missing buccal plates. In those cases, immediate implant placement can be performed using a bone substitute materials and collagen barrier membranes, instead of a connective tissue graft to cover the defect as e.g. collprotect® membrane.
