Alfonso Caiazzo

Dr. Caiazzo shares his experiences on the use of collagen barrier membranes and non resorbable membranes for socket preservation and alveolar ridge augmentation.

Dr. Caiazzo is Vice President of the Italian Academy of Osteointegration (IAO) and founding member of the European Society of Dental & Craniofacial Stem Cells (ESDCSC). He is author of several articles in international journals and maintains a practice limited to oral surgery and implant dentistry in Salerno, Italy.

In this webinar he presents different techniques of alveolar ridge preservation following tooth extraction such as e.g. ice-cream cone technique. Dr. Caiazzo stresses the rationale of primary wound closure with regards to the use of different membranes including collprotect® membrane and permamem® and he discusses solutions for challenging cases where a soft tissue dehiscence and membrane exposure is expected.
