PD Dr. Dr. Eik Schiegnitz is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon working at the University of Mainz in the Department of Oral-, Maxillofacial- and Facial Plastic Surgery. He received his medical degree at the Universities of Giessen, Germany and Lausanne, Switzerland and his dental degree at the University of Mainz, Germany. He is an author and participant in the consensus conference for the preparation of the S3 guideline "Implant restoration for oral rehabilitation in connection with head and neck radiation and ITI fellow. His main areas of research are Tumor biology, Oral mucosa diseases, Biomaterials and tissue engineering and Implantology/ implant surfaces.
