Time of implant, front tooth replacement, esthetics, immediate implant, immediate loading and socketshield technique.
The implant can be placed 1 or 2 stage, the first involves placing the healing abutment at the time of implant placement, the second involves placing the healing abutment during a second (stage) surgery. What type of healing abutment, standard and individual gives what result and when is making a temporary crown wiser? What incision design is best used for this purpose. What importance does keratinized mucosa serve and how can we guarantee enough of it to keep a suprastructure cleanable? In what way can we harvest connective tissue grafts and from where the in mouth, to thicken the tissues and what anatomical structures must be considered. If subsequent infection occurs around an implant how do we diagnose it. What possible treatments are surgical and non-surgical. When is regenerative treatment indicated for infections around implants.
The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) sets maximum rates for fees for oral implantology treatments in the J chapter. We will go through these in detail and budget for each treatment. The day will end with a discussion of complications encountered in treatments and how to resolve them.
