Martina Stefanini

Dr. Stefanini presents techniques for the treatment of gingival recessions and peri-implant soft tissue dehiscences, focussing on collagen matrices as an alternative to autologous connective tissue grafts.

Dr. Stefanini is active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIDP) since 2012, and since 2018, is ITI Fellow. She is researcher at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences at the University of Bologna and since 2005, maintains a private practice as an expert in Periodontology.

In the webinar she explains the differences of autologous soft tissue grafts and mucoderm® in terms of handling, application and clinical performance, and shares her clinical experiences by the presentation of different case scenarios. The adjunctive use of enamel matrix derivative (Straumann® Emdogain®) for recession coverage is discussed as well.
