Extraction socket management of hard and soft tissue with novel tools
| Regeneration techniques became extremely common in the last decades to prevent resorption or increase hard and soft tissue. Extraction socket management is nowadays one of the most challenging issues in implant dentistry. To obstacle post-extraction remodeling, to prevent soft tissue invasion or regenerate alveolar bone represent daily needs for clinicians. In the last years new devices were introduced to improve efficacy and predictability in this field. New biomaterials as bone substitutes, new matrix as soft tissue substitutes and resorbable rigid membranes were demonstrated to be extremely efficient and effective in different stages of treatment. To know biology and biomaterials properties, together with a correct handling are fundamental to achieve the best results. |
