Redefining Bone Regeneration in Implantology: The NOVAMag^® product line

Rethinking Staged Bone Grafting: From complications to innovations.
Staged bone grafting remains a cornerstone in managing complex implant cases, yet traditional approaches are often fraught with biological, technical, and patient-related complications. This lecture will critically examine the common pitfalls of the conventional staged grafting protocols and present a contemporary, evidence-based framework to avoid and manage common complications associated with staged bone grafting. Moreover, modern innovations, such as CAD/CAM allograft blocks, the NOVAMag^® plate technique, and digital planning in staged bone grafting will be shown. Especially, such modern techniques can be a real alternative to the complex grafting procedures in general dental practices by helping to minimize the risk of dental implant placements in atrophic ridges.

Soft tissue management around dental implants

Sinus Floor Elevation: Lateral vs. Crestal: When, How, and the Evidence!

After tooth extraction in the maxilla, pneumatization of the maxillary sinus may occur, leading to a reduction in vertical alveolar bone height. Although dental implants remain the preferred method for tooth rehabilitation, limited vertical bone height presents a clinical challenge. To address this, sinus floor elevation procedures can be performed.
This lecture will explore the decision-making process regarding simultaneous versus staged implant placement in combination with sinus floor elevation. Two primary techniques – the lateral and crestal approaches – will be discussed in detail. Using the latest evidence, we will outline clinical procedures, indications, and decision-making criteria for both approaches.
