The excellent hydrophilic properties and handling characteristic of maxresorb® are demonstrated. They are based on a matrix of interconnecting pores, a very high porosity of approx. 80% and a rough, nano-structured surface that facilitates the adsorption of blood, proteins, and stem cells, thus supporting cell differentiation and bony integration.
